What would you tell a new College Excel parent?
“I would tell them that they take such amazing care of you here and CXL really wants kids to thrive and become a better person. They are there for anything that the child needs academically and socially, and that this is an amazing community.” First Term Student, Kevin
“Try to let go of your agendas for your student and support them to figure out what they want and how to get there in their own way. Once I let go of my parents agenda for what they thought success looked like I was able to figure out what I wanted for myself and I was motivated to get there.” Alumni, John
“Don’t rescue your student. We are adults, even though we don’t always act that way, still treat us that way, because every time you rescue us we don’t have to figure it out for ourself and we stop growing.” Alumni, Nikki
