Meet Jon Baker
Jon Baker: Director of Admissions
I understand that making a decision about your future and taking the first steps to get there is an exciting and often times stressful process. I am here to help you decide if our program is the right fit for you by listening to your story, sharing how our program works and answering any questions or concerns you may have. If you decide you’d like to apply I will help you successfully navigate the application, admission and enrollment process through each stage. Thank you for taking the time to visit our website and I hope to speak with you!

How to Apply for Our Program
Our Admissions Director works closely with each family throughout our comprehensive application process, ensuring that we are the right program for your student’s needs. Please follow the steps below to get started today.
Online Inquiry Form
Please complete and submit this online inquiry form, which will allow our Admissions Director to contact you to schedule an introductory phone call.
Introductory Phone Call
During this introductory call, our Admissions Director will provide you with an overview of our program and its philosophy. You’ll have the opportunity to ask questions and address any concerns you may have about your student and their needs.
Submit Student Testing
After the introductory phone call, please send any psychoeducational test results and other related information about your student to our Admissions Director. Our Admissions Director will then complete a thorough review of all submitted materials to further understand your student’s needs and ensure that College Excel’s program would best meet their needs.
Online Application
Our comprehensive online application allows our team to obtain more detailed information about the student, to help us decide if we are a good fit for each other.
Student Interview
The purpose of this interview is for the Admissions Director to go through the application with the student to address any specific concerns, as well as to assess the student’s commitment to College Excel’s philosophy.
Onsite Tour and Interview*
This final step of the admissions process is for both parents and students to gain a full understanding of our program; tour our facilities, housing, and Bend; and meet with multiple staff members and current students. A decision regarding each student’s enrollment is made shortly after the on-site tour and interview process has been completed.
Note: An on-site tour and interview are requirements for all students before enrollment.*
*Currently waived during COVID-19.
The admissions process is intentionally extensive because we thoroughly review each applicant to ensure that College Excel is the best fit for their needs. Please allow time for our Admissions Director to review all test results and speak with students’ previous programs, therapists, and relevant referring professionals.
NOTE: The admissions process is subject to change, as student situations, locations, and availability may vary.
